Kenny and Amanda Smith - Live Recording

I was in Nashville over the weekend. Kenny and Amanda Smith had a show at the Station Inn on Saturday night and I was hired to video tape and multi-track the performance. The place was filled almost to overflowing and they delivered a great show. The recording went very well, but don’t get your hopes up about a live DVD just yet. The purpose of this recording was purely for promotional use. They will be using the footage in their press kit, but won’t be selling it. The idea of a live DVD was mentioned though. If you really want to see that happen then you should contact Rebel Records and let them know.

    Hi,

This is Jens Koch over in Sweden. I told my good friend and bandmate Thomas Blom, author of two of the tracks on Kenny and Amanda’s newest CD, about this videofootage of them from The Station Inn. He almost freaked out knowing that they probably performed HIS songs on this show…

Is there ANY possibility for me to acquire this footage from you, with permission of Kenny and Amanda Smith, and give to my friend as a birthday present for his soon upcoming birthday? He is a true Kenny Smith fan “and” guitar player.

I read that this only is given out as a promitional kit. Maybe Thomas could get one of those? I thought this would be a great birthday gift for him.

Thanks alot and I hope to hear from you soon, Bruce or John. Maybe you could forward this e-mail to Kenny Smith.

    Jens Koch

    hey Jens,

I’ll have to check with Kenny about it. Can you tell me which songs Thomas wrote? I have a copy around here somewhere, but I’m not sure where. We only edited three tunes for the press kit piece. If his songs are there I don’t think it would be a problem to get him one. If we didn’t use his songs it becomes more difficult. I’ve got all the footage, but I don’t have to time edit it. I just have to many paying jobs…
